Pearl — ambient capture for Apple Watch
Email konlim2010@gmail.com and you will get a reply from a person. Include what the watch showed and roughly when it happened — that is usually enough to find it.
Pearl isn't recording anything.
Capture has to be started — tap the gem. It is lit while Pearl is listening and grey when it is not. If the gem will not light, check Settings → Privacy → Microphone on the paired iPhone.
Double tap doesn't open a question.
Apple's Double Tap gesture only reaches an app when the screen is awake and that app is in front. It needs an Apple Watch Series 9 or later on watchOS 11 or later. If the watch has returned to the clock face, Double Tap goes to the clock, not to Pearl.
Pearl keeps disappearing from my watch.
Builds installed directly from a Mac expire and get cleaned up by watchOS. A copy installed from TestFlight or the App Store behaves like any other app.
It answered from the internet when I wanted my own conversations.
Pearl decides per question whether the answer lives in your recordings or in the world. Naming the context helps — "what did I say about the budget yesterday" will stay in your conversations.
Answers are missing recent conversations.
A conversation has to finish being transcribed before it can be searched. A long one recorded moments ago may not be ready yet.
I want everything deleted.
Use the delete control in the app — it removes every conversation and the identifier itself, permanently. Or email the address above and it will be done for you.
